A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure of photographing Adam and Abi's delightful summer wedding in Kent. Abi and her beautiful bridesmaids prepared at her parents address before heading off to the lovely St Peter's church near Pembury. It's a wonderful place, it sits atop a hill that rises from the surrounding countryside like an island. After the service, they jumped into a classic Jaguar to head off to the reception, whilst the bridesmaids headed off in a white Hackney Cab.
The reception and location for the afternoon and evenings entertainment was at an outstanding venue - Wise Wedding near Five Oak Green. This is a private rural woodland, scattered with clearings large and small. The largest is big enough to host a splendid marquee for eating and dancing in, whilst outside is big enough for general partying and games such as croquet. The woods themselves contain a myriad of delights - not least of which are treehouses, and sofas and armchairs hanging from ropes in the trees like giant swings. But when the sun goes down, the woods take on an entirely different persona: There are lights and candles all over the place, marking out pathways, highlighting seating or just for general artistic delight.
The sun was out, the day was hot and the wedding went spectacularly well, we even got a chance to pay a visit to the horses and donkeys in one of the fields! What a lovely day.
Many thanks to Abi and Adam for having me as a part of their wonderful wedding - I've included some pictures below to give you a taste of their wedding day story,
